We are seeking full-time Machine Learning Communications Engineers at all seniority levels who will help combine elements of software digital signal processing and software-defined modems with state of the art machine learning techniques to create the next generation of AI-Native wireless communications systems in simulation and in real deployed products at scale. This person will be responsible for developing and validating machine learning and communications system algorithms and software across modem and/or wireless sensing system solutions. 

What You'll be Doing: 

  • Develop machine learning (especially deep learning) centric algorithms for wireless communications software products 
  • Develop, test, and optimize neural-network based modem components and approaches for wireless signal processing functions such as detection, synchronization, decoding, shaping, modulation, adaptation, etc. 
  • Work closely with our unique machine learning for communications team on both sensing and modem products and solutions on difficult and unique new approaches to widely applicable wireless core problems. 
  • Work with both our commercial and federal business development and application teams to build the next-generation of AI-Native and learned waveforms and waveform components. 

What we need to see: 

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred, related engineering disciplines accepted
  • Familiarity with reviewing, understanding, and implementing new ideas and algorithms in ML and/or DSP fields.
  • Familiarity with PyTorch, Tensor-flow, or similar machine learning frameworks 
  • Familiarity with MIMO & OFDM concepts such as synchronization, estimation, equalization, decoding, etc
  • Ability to work in various linux environments: local, remote, container, virtual machine
  • Ability to read and write Python and C++ applications and notebooks 
  • Familiar with software engineering and machine learning workflows (git, testing, CI, MLflow, or similar) 
  • Strong communication and teaming skills to work collaboratively and productively in a small company environment
