Workshop on the National Spectrum R&D Plan, co-located with NSF Spectrum Week

May 17 @ 8:00 am - 3:30 pm

As directed in the recent National Spectrum Strategy, the Networking and Information Technology Research and Development (NITRD) Wireless Spectrum R&D Interagency Working Group (WSRD IWG) is working on behalf of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy to develop the National Spectrum R&D Plan. This plan will serve as a guiding document for governmental investment in spectrum-related research and identify critical areas for innovation in spectrum R&D.

The WSRD IWG is hosting a workshop to foster open dialogue between the group’s authors and stakeholders from academia, industry and the public. This follows a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the NITRD NCO seeking public contributions to the plan. The upcoming workshop offers a platform for RFI respondents and other interested parties to discuss and refine the proposed content of the National Spectrum R&D Plan, ensuring its relevance and effectiveness in guiding future research and development initiatives.
